IP Takedown Procedure

Last updated: August 2, 2026

If you own rights in a work that someone has minted or listed on the TCC NFT Marketplace without your permission, this page tells you how to ask us to remove it from our interface, and how a seller can dispute that removal.

What we can and cannot do. We can delist and hide an NFT on our website and unpin its media from our own IPFS infrastructure. We cannot delete the token from the blockchain or remove media that other IPFS nodes are hosting. See Limits of moderation.

1. Who can file

A notice may be filed by the owner of the copyright, trademark or other right, or by a person authorised to act on the owner's behalf. If you are acting as an agent, say who you represent and in what capacity.

If your complaint is not about intellectual property — a scam, impersonation, or prohibited content — use the in-app Report button on the listing instead, or see the Content & Moderation Policy.

2. What your notice must include

Send your notice to [email protected] with the subject line "NFT takedown notice". Incomplete notices delay handling. Include all of the following:

3. What happens next

By filing a notice you accept that your notice, including your name and contact details, will be shared with the seller.

4. Counter-notice (for sellers)

If your listing was removed and you believe the removal was a mistake or that you hold the rights, send a counter-notice to [email protected] with the subject "NFT counter-notice", including:

We forward complete counter-notices to the original complainant. If they do not tell us within 10 business days that they are pursuing the matter legally, we may restore the listing. We are not obliged to restore a listing that also breaches the Content & Moderation Policy for a separate reason.

5. Repeat infringers

Wallets and accounts that are the subject of repeated valid infringement notices are permanently banned from the marketplace interface, and any linked TCC account may be terminated under the Terms of Service.

6. False claims

Filing a knowingly false takedown notice — to remove a competitor's legitimate listing, for example — may expose you to liability for damages and costs under applicable law, and will result in us disregarding your future notices. We do not act as a judge of ownership disputes; where a claim is genuinely contested, the parties must resolve it between themselves or in court.
